Two great shows are happening at two different venues. Each has a completely different sound.
@ The White Rabbit- Mae w/ Locksley, Deas Veil, and Montauk
Mae is an alternative rock band for the sensitive listener. They are full of emotion without being to soft or too hard. They have some electronic qualities without being too “pop-ee” or hyper. They are a band that is good to just chill too. Random fact: Mae is an acronym for “Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience”
They are embarking on a new adventure with the absence of Capitol Records and found that they love not having boundaries! They are currently partaking in charity event where each month they release a new song and each song can be purchased for a minimum donation of $1. So far they have raised over $55,000!
“ Once you are locked in, we are going to ask you to help us make the chain longer and stronger. Just like a fire that spreads without boundaries, our goal is to ignite a change in this world that is worth being part of. Every profited dollar raised will go directly to the current humanitarian based cause we are funding. Through our website you will be able to follow our progress as we work hard to impact the community locally, nationally, and globally together.” -www.whatismae.com/index.php/introduction

@ Rock Bottom- The Ataris w/ The Conflict, Young American, Altus, Life in Rescue, Given the Chance
This show is a bit more pop punk. The Ataris is an old band that formed in 1995. They had a hit cover song in 2003 called ”The Boys of Summer.” Random Fact: “The Boys of Summer” was there accidental second single. It was played by a California radio station and it was spread to other radio stations across the US. “My Reply” was supposed to be their second single. Myspace.com/theataris
Although The Ataris is headlining tonight at Rock Bottom, the band you should go and see is actually the local San Antonio band, Young American (formerly known as July). They are an alternative rock band comprised of four members. They sound alot like Brand New but with their own unique twist.
